Why Marketers Had to be at CES...
In my marketing class this morning, my professor brought up the website for Advertising Age. Although we didn't discuss this article, it caught my eye because my entire purpose for attending CES this year was to get a glimpse into technology marketing. Since I've been back I have tried to explain everything that I saw as a consumer and as a marketing student, but really, there is no way to describe what you see at CES & in Las Vegas unless you actually attend the event. Fly CES Guy
I've seen some pretty weird costumes here at CES, ranging from Iron Man to a dinosaur. Check out this guy. The bests part... he's listening to a cassette player!
The Sony booth was doing makeup from their upcoming movie MIB3 & the Aliens were walking around the floor... it kinda creeped me out cause they were in FULL costume. This guy talked like his alien movie character. Icky.
Back in the booth with DJ Drew!
DJ Drew from KIIS-FM is joining us in the booth today. Everyone is having a blast and is loving the entertainment. People are stopping by asking about the 2013 Ford Fusion & the EVOS Concept car. Personally I think we have one of the best booths. The booth is set-up as though it's separated from the rest of CES. It's like you're leaving the chaos on the show floor and stepping into a more relaxed and upbeat world. Congratulations to the designers for making this one amazing booth!
Will.I.Am & iheartradio @ Haze
Will.I.Am live at Haze nightclub with iheartradio. Probably one of the BEST nightclubs I've been to. The lights were are on these metal ovals that were on pulleys that went up and down. Then every now and then bubbles (which looked more like snow) would shoot out over the dance floor. Everyone was going NUTS!
The Ford people lined the ledge above the couches and were having a blast! We eventually joined them after spending some time on the balcony.

House of Blues
Out first stop this evening was at the Third Eye Blind event put on SiruisXM at the House of Blues. Although I only knew one of their songs, they still put on a great show!

Pop Rock Sushi
Tuesday evening I attended dinner with Ford & Gracenote. We had a great dinner at the Yellowtail inside the Bellagio. I am all about trying different food and I LOVE sushi, but the one thing that stood out on the menu was their "pop rock sushi roll." Seriously??? How do people come up with this stuff? Only in Vegas right? Well me & the guys from The Daily Buzz (a station out of Florida) tried it. I award Yellowtail with the most interesting sushi concept. The sweetness of the candy mixed with the california style sushi was AMAZING! I would HIGHLY recommend going there if you are ever in Vegas! After dinner, we headed over to The Bank nightclub (located inside the Bellagio). Gracenote was hosting a private party at this lush nightclub feature DJ Cassidy & Jazzy Jeff. Everyone had a great time & I even got Dr. Electro fist pumping on the dance floor. I can now check that off my bucket list!

Walking Shoes
Most of the day Tuesday I helped out at the Media desk at the Ford booth, but I also had a chance to walk around with Paul Mascarenas and take him to his interviews around the conference center. Since my arrival in Vegas everyone has been telling me "I hope you brought walking shoes," well I have to say THANK GOD I did. Even walking around in comfortable shoes didn't make a difference. After a day spend running all over the CES convention center, your feet are going to hurt no matter what.
Tuesday morning I was invited to attend a meeting between Ford & SiriusXM. I'm not allowed to disclose any information from the meeting, but let's just say... I am super excited with the new technology they are developing to incorporate with Sync/MyFordTouch!!! Get ready because in-car technology is about to explode!!!!

Just got back from Pepcom and got to see some really SWEET exhibitors!
Poynt (m.poynt.com) - with this app you can basically look up anything from movie times to restaurant reviews and they'll have it. They don't rely on "hear-say" information. They follow up on all their information to have the most accurate listings available. Plus the creator of is a pretty cool guy, he's featured in a lot of their funny promo photos, including girls fighting in ketchup & him spilling a bag of popcorn behind a romantic couple.
sphero (www.gosphero.com) - a robotic ball that is controlled from your smartphone! It lights up and moves around all under the control of your control.. ok so basically it's a ball with lights, that rolls around and... the end. That's it. Probably the BIGGEST waste of money, but HEY we're in Vegas... you'll most likely lose more playing the slots so might as well get something for your money.
yurbuds (yurbuds.com) - If you're anything like me, you probably have the hardest time getting your buds to stay in your ear & when they do, your ears end up hurting after awhile. Well, the Lord has heard you. These earbuds mold to your ear AND they stay put! The one really cool thing is... if you can't get them to fit you take a picture of your ear, send it to them, and they'll send you a pair that fits especially to YOUR ear!
vmware (vmware.com) - Their new cell phone software helps you keep your work phone separate from your personal phone, while only using one device. The point it to be able to integrate both work & personal phones into one easy access device, but allowing them to not interfere with one another. Looks pretty cool to me. I'm always down for organization!

Sony Press Conference

Pre-show Interviews!
At the Ford booth at the Las Vegas convention center. The new 2013 Ford Fusion is next to me still cover for its BIG reveal on Tuesday. Dr. Electro is doing an interview with Radio Inc. about the future of Ford Sync & integrating radio into their upcoming techology. Sounds like radio will still be a big part of the future!
Hello Vegas!
Just arrived at the Bellagio hotel. It's been awhile since I've been in a Vegas hotel & knowing my record with getting lost easily, I think the Bellagio is going to get me in trouble. I haven't had time to explore the hotel yet, but so far my favorite thing is the ceiling above the reception desks. Beautiful stained glass flowers are spread across the ceiling. After a quick bite at the snack bar we will be heading over to the convention center where my dad (Jim Buczkowski) will be interviewed by Radio Inc. Look for it to be posted on the web! Time to chow down on a Club with NO tomato! Om nom nom.
